GREEN SCHOOLS

Green Schools is Ireland’s leading environmental management and education programme for schools. Its aim is to promote long-term, whole-school action for the environment. Green Schools is a student-led programme with involvement from the wider community. At Ardscoil Phadraig we have a very active Green Schools committee. To date we have achieved flags for the following themes: Litter & Waste, Energy, Water and Travel. We are currently working towards achieving our Biodiversity flag in 2021.

Now more than ever, it is vital for every student to be aware of their role as a global citizen and encourage sustainability within our school community.
