Welcome to Ardscoil Phádraig Longford

Welcome

Welcome to the website of Ardscoil Phádraig, Granard, Co Longford. We hope that you will find it interesting and informative.

Ardscoil Phádraig is a dynamic school with a focus on excellence in teaching and learning. All our students are actively encouraged to reach their potential.  We have a culture of high expectations for all students in everything they do both academically and in extra-curricular activities.  As a school at the heart of the community we constantly engage with all stakeholders to enhance the learning experience for all students.

We believe that wonderful opportunities lie ahead for all students in Ardscoil Phádraig.  This is a particularly exciting time as our second new extension will open in September 2017. This will add significantly to the range of specialist rooms for Science, Music, Technical Graphics and also provide an excellent state of the art Autistic Unit. These modern facilities offer flexible learning environments and integrated and contemporary information and digital technology resources

There is a welcoming and warm environment for students with the benefit of small class sizes. We have excellent pastoral care structures and highly developed support systems and a shared zero tolerance approach to bullying from both staff and students. We are also fortunate to be able to offer free and subsidised school meal options.

We are very fortunate to have an excellent, highly talented staff who are able to cultivate a positive learning environment and also give freely of their time to create an extensive variety of extra-curricular opportunities.

As you will see from our gallery photos we have an extensive range of extra-curricular activities.

Finally, we would encourage you to visit the school at any time to further discuss the academic experience offered in Ardscoil Phádraig. We have an open door policy where parents are facilitated with meetings and times that suit.
